Accounting Trainee [Łódź]

Who are we?
Solar Polska Sp. z o.o. is part of the Solar Group - one of the largest trading partners in Northern Europe in the distribution of solutions for electrical and industrial companies. Solar has been growing on the Polish market since 1998 based on branches located throughout the country. Solar is also developing the Shared Services Centre, which supports the entire Solar Group in the areas of master data, material planning, finance and product management. The Solar SSC office is located in the centre of Łódź, in Symetris Business Park.

What will be your tasks and opportunities?
Your primary task will be to verify and enter invoices from Solar Group (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Netherlands). You will be responsible for making sure vendor invoices are complete (quantity received), accurate (correct price and bank details), approved (authorized) and posted on time. You will have a chance to work with a team of specialists, support them with daily tasks. Finally, it will be your job to secure and support quality of daily processes.

What do we wish to see in you?
We’re looking for a passionate, committed and open-minded person who wants to step in and be part of the team. As a person, you are detail-oriented, accurate and you have strong analytical skills, willing to get to know the reality of working in an international environment within a Shared Service Center. Also our corporate language is English, so you’re expected to speak and write it at a good level. We have about 1 million materials in SAP, which means tons of data and invoices. Therefore, it is crucial that you work in a structured manner and you are willing to learn Accounting processes.

Regarding IT skills, we expect you to have a good command of Microsoft tools.

While on paid internships at Solar, you will gain valuable experience in an international organization and learn about applications such as IES Validation system, SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), Excel. And all this will take place in our modern and cozy office in the center of Łódź, equipped with comfortable workplaces, friendly chillout zones and corporate library. We offer flexible hours of internships, so that each of our apprentices adjusts the hours of internships to their abilities (it is important that they come to the office at least 20 hours a week).
