About this opportunity We are seeking a Software Quality Assuance Engineer to join our diverse team in Wroclaw, Polska and help design, build, and maintain Align’s global manufacturing software test systems. A Software Quality Assuance Engineer is a developer with the primary responsibility of writing frameworks and tools to test products. SQA’s understand software internals, debug code, automate repetitive tasks, and implement new tools and frameworks needed to streamline our quality process.quality process. In this role, you will… Analyze enterprise business context (operational trends and business strategy) to guide solution decisions and long-term strategies for the enterprise. Understand customer usage models and develop test plans and test cases that approximate real-world environments and scenarios. Collaborate with both Software Development Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency. Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and test suites working across technologies. Perform API level testing. Proactively implement test strategies to prevent future issues Seek out novel uses of existing and new technologies to help improve our customers’ journeys. Ensure that solution design and analysis work (particularly as specific solutions are created or upgraded in projects) is documented and stored in a common place. Maintain knowledge and demonstrate mastery of the technical specialism at the highest level and contribute to defining best practices. Connect with other team members and share your experience and knowledge in all things related to manufacturing software development. Celebrate in your successes and those of your team members. Analyze test logs; create test reports, co-ordinate with stakeholders. Support the functional SQA team to automate test cases and on occasion perform functional testing. In this role, you’ll need … Must Haves: 3-5+ years of experience in software development or in an QA role. Familiarity with multi-tiered software architectures. Technical knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance Experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, and Automation Framework Development is required. Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases. Understanding of REST and SOAP API creation and consumption. Experience in Functional Testing or Integration testing. Experience in Python (preferable), VB Script, or Java. Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes. Fluent English Desired: Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience in Python, VB Script is required Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Experience with testing MES or other manufacturing systems. Experience in test automation using Selenium with Java/C#/Ruby. Experience with synchronous and asynchronous MES integrations using message brokers. Knowledge about shop floor/manufacturing processes. RESTful API and Web Services testing. Experience in working within the Medical Device industry. Security, performance, scalability, and usability mindset. SDLC and DevOps familiarity.
