We are currently seeking a Financial Controller on behalf of our client, a globally recognized leader in the food technology sector. Twój zakres obowiązków
  • Take ownership of the entity local compliance deliverables and accounting operations based on Group’s accounting principles together with monthly reporting & commentary to Group Finance
  • Coordinate and support the preparation and submission of accurate internal and external financial reports in accordance with local regulations, maintaining high standards of integrity and transparency
  • Provide support to the accounting teams regarding local specific monthly closing activities, reporting and accounting treatment knowledge, both for local compliance for each entity and the group policies
  • Be part of a team of Financial Controllers with responsibility for a legal entity or groups of entities
  • Perform variance analysis of actuals and commentary on legal entity level following entity controlling framework
  • Provide timely and well-documented insights into financial figures to internal stakeholders for business analysis purposes
  • Managing internal and external audits, resolving findings promptly
  • Plan and coordinate independently local compliance activities to meet deadlines and refer to line manager only for escalation purposes
  • Enforce compliance with group policies on the entity level
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address accounting issues and discrepancies
  • Collaborate across departments to provide functional support, solicit ideas for process/system improvements with an open mind and an eye for continuous improvements and synergies
  • Actively participate in the design and implementation of finance transformation initiatives
  • Proactively keeping up with financial policies, regulations, and legislation for area of responsibility
  • Understanding how own area of responsibility ties together with rest of organization
  • Performing tasks with end customers in mind
  • Performing independently various ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager from time to time
Wymagania pracodawcy
  • University/Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent, ACCA or other Chartered Accountants certification
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Financial Controlling area or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Good command of spoken and written ENGLISH is a must.
  • Good command of spoken and written FRENCH is huge advantage
  • Other language skills are considered a plus
  • Experience from an international Firma and working in a global setting
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • SAP experience considered a plus
  • Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently
  • Well organized, very structured and able to complete tasks of the same high quality each month meeting the agreed deadlines
  • Being curious and critical towards quality of financial reporting, and able to come up with to-be solutions to challenges/problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain partners relation with local business (non-Finance) and other finance stakeholders
  • Proficient in managing period-end closings and analyzing financial data
  • Ability to plan and conduct informative and effective training programs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and documented process improvement experiences

Opis stanowiska

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and controlling activities at the entity level, ensuring compliance with both group standards and local regulatory requirements. This role acts as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, as well as external service providers.

A key aspect of the Stanowisko is facilitating effective collaboration between the finance function within the Global Business Services Center—working closely with Group Finance teams, including PtP, OtC, and RtR—and the local business. The objective is to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data during the month-end closing process.

The Stanowisko is based in Warsaw, Polska and reports directly to the local lead with exposure to stakeholders on regional level.
