ABOUT THE ROLE Are you a skilled Senior Backend Engineer looking to make an impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? Join our dynamic Core Platform Team, the backbone of our product ecosystem. We are a crucial part of the Core division, responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving the foundational services and data infrastructure that power our products. Our mission is to provide scalable, reliable, and performant solutions for processing vast amounts of data, supporting various product teams across the Firma. We tackle exciting challenges in distributed systems, high-volume data streams, and ensuring the stability and performance of critical platform components. We are a growing team of 10 experienced engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Contributing to the development and architectural design of Rhino, our multi-brand gaming platform built on 230+ microservices. Securing deliveries and helping colleagues with theirs. Maintaining and upgrading our systems and services, identifying and resolving complex technical challenges, optimising existing systems for efficiency, and ensuring data integrity. Take full ownership of features and projects from conceptualisation and design through development, deployment, and monitoring. Working closely with QA and contributing to testing activity in the team. OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: ESSENTIAL SKILLS Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Java with Spring Boot. Experience in several of these technologies: SQL, Jenkins, Maven, Git, Docker, Spring, JUnit. NICE TO HAVES Bonus points if you have used Kotlin and Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of the messaging platform (Kafka) is a big plus. Knowledge of Agile methodologies. WHO WE ARE At the core of LeoVegas Group is Team Leo.
