About the project

Google's software engineers develop the Następna-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Kubernetes Control Plane team focuses on innovations in the Kubernetes control plane, thus making Google Kubernetes Engine the best and most efficient cloud platform for running containerized workloads. The team is investing into enhancing the operation support system's Kubernetes components as well as building Google Kubernetes Engine-specific integrations and differentiators.

In this role, you will work on technology that is at the core of an impactful, quickly growing business. You will build and support the most reliable, performant, and cost efficient solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Utilize your expertise to engage in and enhance the whole lifecycle of software development such as design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
• Collaborate within and across teams and learn. Work on cloud technologies designed for large-scale, high performance and high reliability.
• Support Google Kubernetes Engine, Kubernetes-like control planes operationally.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 2 years of experience with software development using Go.
• Experience working with distributed systems.

Optional

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
